A Buyer's Archive - keeping track of my spending on clothes and accessories with Elise.

To finish off last months Buyer's Archive post I wrote 'expect very few purchases in June.' I'm pleased to say I only made three purchases, two of which where necessary, one which I tried hard to justify as necessary but it's simply not true.

Light Brown Comfort Suedette Block Heels  |  New Look  |  £24.99

I bought these heels from New Look that I'd spied online for an upcoming wedding. I've already given them a trial run on an evening out and I'm glad to say they're really comfortable. They come in black too and I'm more than a little tempted!

I wore them with a Monsoon dress I won on ebay during my spending ban last year, a bargain at £8.50. This is the first chance I've had to wear it. I love how the shoes are barely there, making the outfit all about the dress.

Bardot top  |  ASOS  |  £18.00

Then I bought this off-the-shoulder top from ASOS. With the switch from my spring to summer capsule wardrobe coming up I wanted something else to wear with the trousers and skirts I have. This will work with practically everything.

And I bought some pants. Three pairs for a tenner.

Total spend for June £52.99

Total for 2016 so far £354.88

    1. I've sprayed them with a heavy duty waterproof treatment, I'm hoping it'll make them easier to clean too. I'm off to a wedding on a farm so keep your fingers crossed for the safe return of my footwear!

  5. I have to admit, I'm pretty tempted by those shoes. I've been searching for the perfect paid of suede/suedette light brown heels for literally years, since my previous New Look pair bit the dust. I love them for the exact reason you pinpoint - they fade into the background so that the focus is on the clothes. Also THANK YOU for not calling the colour 'nude', it's one of my bugbears; pale beige-brown is not universally nude!

    1. Very true. I just don't like the term.
They're very comfy, I wore them all day on Saturday and although my feet hurt the day after they were fine on the day.

    1. I know they don't look it, but they're from New Look's comfort range, they have cushiony insoles and are a little wider (it seems).
I wore them from 11am and didn't take them off until gone mignight, having danced in them for a few hours too. My feet only hurt a tiny bit the next day. I was super impressed!
