Slow Cooker Quorn Chilli
Friday, June 13, 2014After the yumminess of Bessie's Mexican Veggie Lasagne I decided to try another of her recipes - Slow Cooker Quorn Chilli. I love using my slow cooker, with all the hard work done at the beginning of the day, having a meal cooked and ready at supper time, with no more effort required than removing the lid and serving, seems like such a treat!
This is equally as delicious as the lasagne and would be perfect served with crusty rolls and perhaps sprinkled with a little cheese and a dollop of sour cream (I'll definitely be adding both next time I make this). This time around I had wholemeal rice and coleslaw.
The recipe cooks enough for 4-6 people depending on the size of their appetites. We ate this over two days, with Andy eating it for lunch as well, so it's budget friendly!
Have you tried any new recipes lately?

this looks amazing! I love chilli but hate meat mince! x
ReplyDeleteThen this is perfect for you - add more chilli powder though if you're after a good kick!
DeleteI've never tried Quorn! Must give it a go x
ReplyDeleteI think this is only the second time I've had it... to be honest, in a chilli you can hardly tell it's not meat.
DeleteMmmmm, sounds gooooood!!! X
ReplyDeleteI think even if I weren't vegetarian (which tbh I'm steering away from now) I'd still eat Quorn mince in things like this - I prefer it in lasagne and in spag bol.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I'd never considered it as a substitute until now....
DeleteThanks for sharing. I have recently turned veggie and have also invested on a slow cooker so will definitely have to give this a go.
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking the time to comment x
