To tattoo or not to

I've been contemplating a tattoo (again)...
Thanks to this post on Sofia's journal (great blog if you haven't already happened upon it) and some considerable time spent on the tattoologist for inspiration, I am closer than ever to taking the plunge.

Here are some ideas that I really like. The final pic isn't one I'm considering, it is included for it's cuteness (that and the fact that he looks a lot like my cat Socks).

All images are from the tattoologist, if one of these pics is yours please let me know and I'll be happy to credit you.

Would you have a tattoo? Do you already have one?

  1. these tattoos are so cute and tasteful (not including the last one). I don't have any tattoos but have been considering a small one of some MUSE artwork. I want to wait a while and see if I still want one.

  2. @Sophie - Country girl I've been mulling it over for a while so I'm confident that it isn't just a phase... I like the fact that in years to come my grandchildren will ask about them and I'll have a story to tell.

  3. Love the idea of you having one on your finger. Think a heart is really pretty. Maybe more meaningful than a moustache?

  6. I love them on other people (and REALLY love men with full sleeve tats) but I'd never get one personally. Just not quite my thing and I worry I'd either hate it or get bored of it.

  8. I've just been planning my fourth, now all I need is the funds. I only have small tattoos, each just plain and simple but all signify major events in my life.
My new one is going to be a dove on my wrist, to represent finding peace with myself. It's also a tribute to my dear friend Emily, who died 4 years ago.
I can't wait to get it!

  9. Some very cute ones.

Yes I have a henna one. It went on as a normal tattoo but should not last forever. I didn't want to be old and wrinkly with one! Mine is a Chinese symbol for friendship on my left hip. I've had it for 10 years and it has faded. Can't see it lasting past another 10 which suits me fine.

My eldest has like 5 now!
