Dungarees. Reliving my youth.
Friday, August 12, 2016When I say youth, I mean my childhood. I wore dungarees a lot when I was little, I loved them.
However, after the age of ten, when my Mum made me wear a hand-me-down pair of red dungarees with small ice creams all over them to a party (a party!!), I refused to step into another pair ever again.
Until now.
These khaki lovelies were a recent ebay win. They arrived, I ironed them, I wore them. And I'll wear them tomorrow, and possibly the day after.
Have a great weekend!

These are amazing, seriously some of the best I've seen! xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Laura, I'm really pleased with them :)
DeleteI'm liking the sound of your ice cream dungarees! As a child I had some purple velvet ones with a bumble bee embroidered on the bib which I loved to bits!
ReplyDeleteYour grown-up versions look fantastically chic. xxx
Thank you. The red dungarees where lovely but I was 10 and wanted to look like Madonna...
DeleteThis is a nice pair, and they suit you very well! xxx
ReplyDeleteI love them I have been after a pair of light denim one's for the whole of winter. I lived in my short legged ones in summer. So comfy and easy to wear.
ReplyDeleteI might have bought myself a pair of short ones too...
DeleteDunagrees and denim always make me think of childhood.

Corduroy, hand knitted jumpers, and cagoule's trigger the most childhood memories for me
DeleteThey look amazing Hazel!!! I had a pink pair of Dungarees when I was in year 2 although I have bad memories associated with them because I was told off in Assembly when wearing these for something I didn't mean to say wrong!
ReplyDeleteHello by the way
I am so sorry I have not been around recently. I've actually been on a cruise for almost 2 weeks and before I was in France for a week! I do apologise for the lack of blog presence and comments. I do hope you are well! I'm busy on Thursday but do you want to do a maze this week!?
Hello! Thank you :)
DeleteI hope dungarees haven't been spoilt for you by the experience?
Sounds like you've been busy, I don't think I'll be able to make the maze this week, work and life are manic this week. I'll comment over on your blog too...
Oh they're so lovely! You've managed to avoid the dreaded looking-like-a-kids-TV aspect of adults wearing dungarees! Gorgeous! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking the time to comment x
