Friday Letters #4

Friday, October 26, 2012

Friday already? It's been another busy week.

I had an idea that it might be fun to look back and see what I was doing around this time last year. October 26th 2011 I posted an Inspiration Monday outfit (a few days late). Look at the weather, I'm wearing sunnies and no socks!

I thought that it would be fun to recreate the outfit. I don't have that particular cardigan anymore, it died at the claws of my cats - cats and delicate knitwear do not make good bed fellows. But I do have the jeans, belt and bag. I also have the ballet flats but the weather does not encourage me to go sockless (warmth wins over style, every time).

It's not a stylish outfit, it's quite ordinary really. At this time of year I often find that I lose my mojo a little, preferring comfort over style and reaching for chunky shapeless knitwear and jeans. It takes me a while to readjust to the colder weather. I'm LOVING the parka though.

My Friday Letters

Dear Oven, thank you for not being completely broken. I can live without a grill for a while, cheese on toast is no substitute for a proper meal anyway. Bring on the baked spuds and hearty stews! Microwave, stand down.

Dear Dad, Thank you for coming over and fixing the outside light, changing the light switch in the cloakroom and bringing the oven back to life. You are my hero.

Dear Self, Never say never. You always said that you'd never wear second hand footwear but those brown knee high boots you found in Mind proved you wrong, didn't they?

Dear Breast Cancer Campaign, Despite having every intention of participating in Wear It Pink this year, checking the date and even marking it in my diary, I forgot. I'm sorry. I've made a donation and by coincidence am carrying a pink bag today. Next year I will do better.

You can enter a raffle to win some fab goodies, here, by donating to Breast Cancer Campaign (here), enter by midnight tonight (UK only).

I hope you have a great weekend. I'm going to be catching up on housework and, hopefully, buying some much needed curtains for my lounge and dining room.

Love
