This Week I Have Been...

Monkey Moo for my Friend's new baby
New sleeves for an old knit, in fact this was the first garment I ever made. But I didn't like the sleeves (I didn't get the shape right and found I had extra space for my bingo wings to grow into...) so I tried again and added some stripes and huge cuffs, which make them perfect for my cold, cold studio.
Reading...
I finished my second book of the year Yarn Harlot, The Secret Life of a Knitter by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee. For knitters (and Knitters) this is a great read, I identified with so much of this book and laughed out loud at the fleece stealing squirrel and her frenzied knitting exploits. One Little Sock made me cry a little, What Her Hands Won't Do choked me, Three Blankets made me sigh and wonder about my future little blankets and What She Gave Me brought me to the conclusion that I want my Mother to teach my children to knit. One day I hope to be a Knitter (currently with only 18 months of knitting experience I am just a knitter). Follow her blog here. If you love knitting, you'll love this.
And... starting my Wardrobe Challenge and conquering my fear of hosiery, separate post to follow...
What have you been up to this week?
