Q: How Do I Wear A Denim Shirt?

A: with black skinny jeans and boots.

That's how I wear my denim shirt. Every. Single. Time.

The rules of my Wardrobe Challenge do not allow me to wear an item the same way twice. So, I did what I always do when I need inspiration. I Googled it.





I love the idea of teaming a denim shirt with sequins or tucking it into a floral skirt but I am limited to the current contents of my wardrobe by the rules of the challenge. Last week I wore my shirt tucked into a pair of wide leg trousers I've had for ages but the fact that the shirt it quite long meant I felt a little bit like I was wearing a nappy all day. Needless-to-say I am in need of some more options...

Neutrals seem to work exceptionally well with denim as do bold and unusual textures and fabrics. I'm beginning to realise my skinny jeans and ankle boots combination was rather a boring option!



I could add sequins with this t-shirt, purchased from Very last summer.

Or tuck in into a skirt (hopefully avoiding the afore mentioned nappy feeling).

    I really like the idea from Polywore of wearing it with a dressy floral dress! :) usually I war mine with a flirty summer skirt and a white vest and flipflops, as I usually spend summers on the beach, but it gets a bit windy sometimes, so it's always good to have a back up plan :P :) Great in depth research about denim shirt btw! :)

    I've been looking for new ideas of how to wear my denim shirt so thanks for this great post. I love the idea of wearing it under a smartish dress and the patched shirt near the bottom is very cool
