But where to start? I'm a little lost with room decorations... the thought of tinsel, baubles and anything shines or dangles leaves me cold. Twinkling lights and yule logs are more my cup of tea.
In my quest for something tasteful my first stop was MyDeco for inspiration - a site with everything 'interior' in one place. Here is what I found...
Wreath £30 from Notonthehighstreet
Pine Cone Garland £17.50 from Idyll Home
Ceramic Santa £7.50 M&S
Giant Antiqued Silver Baubles from £9.50 from Graham and Green
Lavendar Heart £12.00 from My Deco Boutique
Painted Wooden Deer Advent Calender £10.17 from Graham and Green
Okay, so at this juncture I should point out that I am starting to enjoy myself, despite my normal 'bah! humbug!' approach to decorations (well it IS shopping after all). It seems I have a penchant for rustic items and pine cones - a far cry from the tinsel and gaudy hanging ceiling decorations of my childhood. I suspect that our home will have a rosy glow this festive season.
Whilst catching up on my blog reading this week I also found inspiration in these blogs louboosandshoes - velvet ribbon and holly to decorate your door knob anyone? and thebottomoftheironingbasket I could climb in and spend Christmas there.
And it is with a festive feeling in my belly that I leave you.

So glad you found Simone at the Bottom of the Ironing Basket... that blog is the best!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday Dear!! xo
I love that santa, so cute.
ReplyDeleteThose decorations are lovely - I especially like the hearts!
ReplyDeleteHi - ahh thanks for the mention - I am immersing myself in Christmas loveliness! I suspect however that I love the build-up more than the day itself...hmmm. Spookily when I scrolled down I saw your KG Sparrow boots - I have those in brown! Kindred spirits?! I have yet to get full wear out of them however due to pesky weather conditions... Lou x
ReplyDeleteIndeed Lou - the build up is where the excitement lies for me!
