April Capsule Outfits

Tuesday, May 14, 2019

You can see how the weather changed over the course of April just by looking at my capsule wardrobe outfits. We started with chilly days and rain, but by the Easter weekend my ankle grazing jeans and short sleeves were only just about cool enough.

It didn't take long for the cooler weather to return, and it was back to jeans and jumpers, but wasn't it glorious while it lasted? Thank you, more please.

Jeans and long sleeves dominated my current outfits until yesterday, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more sunshine and warmth. All this rain is great for crops, gardens and filling water butts but it's not good for my soul. I'm at my happiest when the sun is shining and I can feel it's warmth on my skin.

  1. very organised. I'm not quite so but have just recycled about 2/3 of my wardrobe and have a few things to sell on Ebay, the cupboard is bare! some things had worn out a bit and until I put my specs on I couldn't see the bobbling etc!

  2. I can see how the weather changed - bare arms one minute and snuggly cardis the next. That glorious Bank Holiday weekend really fooled us into thinking Summer had arrived.
Love your rainbow umbrella although I'm hoping we won't see much of it! Good to see the legendary green skirt making an appearance. x

    1. The bank holiday was just glorious! Thankfully the sun is back, and hopefully to stay this time.
I'm thinking I could use the umbrella as a parasol, it's too pretty to stay in the cupboard!

  3. I'm exactly the same, I much prefer the sun to be shining. I think the April wardrobe has to be made up of a bit of everything, we never know what weather we're going to get.

    1. Everything just seems so much easier when the sun us shining. The capsule worked well, but if we'd had more sun I would've struggled a bit.

  5. The weather certainly has been up and down here as well. So hard to dress for, especially on those days when it's chilly in the morning, so that I end up with far less layers than I'd started out with! I love that striped tee with your fabulous green maxi skirt! xxx

    1. Weather on the up at the moment! Spring and Autumn are tricky seasons for the capsule, the weather is unpredictable, but I think I've got the balance right.
