Wedding Guest Make Up

Friday, September 12, 2014

Is it just me or do you tone down your make up, the more dressed up you get? I have a wedding to go to soon and although I'm still pondering what to wear, I know I'll be going for a subtle make up look to keep me from feeling too 'done'.

I've had doubts about my chosen outfit and panic bought four dresses from ASOS. All of them are knee length with full skirts in either a bold colour or a floral pattern so, no matter what I end up wearing, I feel that subtle make up is the way to go.

Recently, I've been using (and loving) this Glo-Minerals 3-in-1 Colour Stick on my cheeks but, as the name suggests, it can be used on lips and eyes too. It's perfect for recreating this Lisa Eldridge Fast and Fresh day Look in Minutes tutorial, in which just three products are used.

subtle make up with nothing but foundation, 3-in-1 colour stick and mascara

This will be the basis for my make up on the day of the wedding, with a few tweaks for a little more definition. I'll probably add eye liner, some gloss over the top on my lips and I'll define my brows.

The colour stick is limited edition and only comes in one shade, Dollface, which is a pretty coral with a hint of pink. I apply this directly to my skin and blend it with my fingers. It's not a colour that I would normally wear on my eyes but I'm loving it, I have an inkling that it'll be my go-to day look for Autumn.

Do you use any multi-tasking beauty products? If so please share, room in my make up bag is in short supply!
