My Mini #30Wears Challenge

Wednesday, September 13, 2017

I bought a new skirt in June and decided to try to wear it 30 times in three months. Long story short - I did.

I didn't take an outfit shot every time I wore it, some days where dull and blustery, some days I just didn't get the time, but here are some of the outfits.

It's safe to say that I adore this skirt, it's really comfy and easy to wear. I can always tell if something is going to be a wardrobe hit when I start to wear it immediately. And, c'mon, look at those pockets!

I plan to keep this in my autumn capsule. I've tried it on with boots and, as long as they have a bit of a heel, it looks fab.

What do you think? Do you like?

  2. I fully approve of your skirt. It's green, it's got pockets! Say no more. It's looking great whatever you've combined it with. I'm sure it will be fab with some high heeled boots too! xxx

  3. It will look great with boots and black tops in the winter I'm sure, certainly had value for money there! - I wonder how it would look with black net skirt underneath?

    1. At the moment I only have 3/4 length sleeve sweaters that will go with this skirt, so I see a lot of layering in my future!
I was wondering yesterday about wearing it with a petticoat, but a white one with a scalloped edge - like the ones I had in primary school, hehe! I like the idea of a black one though, thanks!

  4. See this is what is so interesting about blogs. You have worn this skirt so many times, in a variety of ways, for different occasions. Yet I don't know any way in which I could wear it at all. I don't think my wardrobe provides for your skirt. It looks beautiful on you my dear! xx

    1. Thank you :) I know what you mean, different people wear things in different ways. I love it when I see a blogger wear something that makes me go 'oh, I can wear such-and-such like that'.

  6. Well I think you've had your moneys worth already, and it's one of those garments, as you say, which can cross over seasons. It goes with so many different tops too.

    1. You wouldn't think that bright green could be so versatile but it really does go with so many different colours!

  7. That skirt is marvellous!!! I like the ways you wore it! Nice to know it has earnt its keep. I can imagine you wearing it with your nice black and white patterned knitted top and with Breton stripes (I can't zoom on my phone to see if you did this already). I can also imagine it working with a nice mustard shade and with purple too!

    1. I wore one stripey tee, but I will be going full on breton in the Autumn. I can't wear yellow around my face but I like the idea of purple. I want to team it with light / bright blue too. I need a charity shop rummage to stock up on cute jumpers :)
