It will come as no surprise to any of you when I say I have a thing for jewellery. My arm parties are becoming an almost daily occurrence, my necklace collection is beyond control and even though I only ever wear one ring at a time, when I do, it's big.

But it wasn't until I received an email from Harriet about an earring giveaway that I realised I've been neglecting my lobes. I rarely change my earrings and own only a handful, most of which are studs.

You may well have come across Harriet Kelsall Jewellery Design if you have thought about commissioning a bespoke engagement ring, which is what they are best known for, but I first came across them whilst researching bespoke jewellery designers. Sadly this had nothing to do with a hopelessly romantic proposal but research for a new bespoke jewellery website I was designing at the time. I was more than a little distracted by the gallery of bespoke pieces on the site - seriously I lost hours!

Since then I have discovered that they also offer some fab dress jewellery, each piece is beautifully handmade and designed in small runs, so you're unlikely to see someone else wearing the same thing. They're perfect for Christmas presents (only 54 more sleeps people!) and they will deliver your items, along with a hand written message, to an address of your choosing - perfect for when you want to keep that personal touch.


Harriet has sent me some gorgeous sterling silver, hematite and Swarovski crystal chandelier earrings (RRP approx £45) to give away to five readers.

    Holy moley they're beautiful.

    Funnily enough earrings are probably the only jewellery thing that I "do" - usually because I just see them sat there and grab them on my way out of the door. God I'm lazy.

    But what I'm really missing is a beautiful pair of earrings that I can wear for SPECIAL TIMES and I think these guys would fit the bill.

    I will now commence the crossing of fingers until the 1st December. This could make writing comments from now on quite tricky.

    I have a bit of a collection of hematite jewellry that I love to wear on special occasions, but I've no earrings. These are absolutely perfect and I've no doubt they'll be on my Christmas list now!

    I too found HKJ jewellery when looking around but great to find someone else giving great advice too. I would definitely love to own a sparkly pair of earrings - just right for a big birthday bash coming up in December. Keep my fingers crossed. Claire
