Particular Pieces
Tuesday, October 12, 2010Once again I find myself lacking suitably warm clothing for the chillier weather, which I don't mind really as it gives me a reason to shop (not that having no reason stops me). That said, I plan to move house with OH sometime soon, so available funds may be somewhat diminished before long. Better get some shopping in quick smart!
I spied this loop knit cardigan on ASOS, it reminds me of the cute jackets and hats my Mum knitted for me as a small child. I have fallen in love with it. It's £45 but with a 20% off voucher... *quick mental calculation* ...£36! You get a lot of wool for your money... all those extra loops.
It would work with this lace dress, a recent purchase of mine from Very. For or a cute daytime look I'd team these two items with black opaque tights and brogues. I've to learn that some people don't like brogues. I was stunned, so much so, I wrote a post for the VBlog to convince people of their beauty. I wonder if it made a jot of difference?
Anyway, back to the subject of knitwear...
I also love this jumper I found on the new H&M website (so glad they have ventured into the online world). Classic stripes are so easy to wear anytime of year and this fine knit jumper can be styled in a number of ways to keep you cosy. I see it layered over a long sleeve t-shirt, with a huge chunky knit scarf and leggings.
For an upcoming Christening I'm thinking of teaming this Valeska sequin cardigan from Joy, that has a whisper of Chanel about it, a black circle skirt and this gorgeous Jane shoe from L.K.Bennett (thanks to Forty Not Out for finding this). The Ladylike 50's style is perfect, no?

Glad you enjoyed my completely mature and absolutely normal tip this week ;) ♥
Oh, those Geiger shoes are beaut! You've great taste x
ReplyDeleteThe off white lace dress is beautiful. I'm a sucker for a girl in lace - you cannot beat it. I love the cardigan, I see what you mean very Chanel esque - I love the sparkly sequin touch. COS is always great for knitwear, it's owned by H&M, if you haven't been to one, you must! As for the KG fab, but what KGs aren't?!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pieces!
ReplyDeleteI saw those shoes recently and they pretty - but honestly you would not be able to walk in them. I'm pretty comfortable in heels but these just did not look like they were designed for walking!
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking the time to comment x
