I am now deeply concerned about how I am going to curb my spending for the foreseeable future... there are just too many lovely, lovely things out there. Hummm, perhaps not actively going to look for lovely things may help?

It maybe some time before there is another Particular Pieces post.

I have tried to be good this sale season and limit my spending but with so many bargains to be had what is a girl to do?

I have deleted sale emails from many of my favourite retailers (sorry!) before reading them in order to resist temptation and I haven't yet ventured into my local town centre just in case my self control wanes.

That said, I still managed to bag myself some bargains...

I'm feeling all of a dither. A mixture of festive cheer and summer excitement! I can't seem to decide which one to focus on, so I'm jumping like a deranged bunny from one to the other. Christmas, Summer, Summer, Christmas...

But today, I'm feeling the need for warmth.
They are possibly the only Uggs I would consider wearing (I think it's the pom pom that does it!)

I have a small collection of Christmas decorations, namely a 3ft tree, some lights that sit on my window sill and enough decorations to assemble a festive looking tree - although the star never sits upright. As I spent a lot of years at other people's houses on Christmas Day I didn't feel the need for more than a few token decorations. However, OH is big on Christmas so I need to make more of an effort as we moved in together this year (he continues to shake his head in disbelief at my artificial Christmas tree - real is where it's at, or so I am told).

But where to start? I'm a little lost with room decorations... the thought of tinsel, baubles and anything shines or dangles leaves me cold. Twinkling lights and yule logs are more my cup of tea.

In my quest for something tasteful my first stop was MyDeco for inspiration - a site with everything 'interior' in one place. Here is what I found...

This week Kurt Geiger gets more than just a mention, he gets an entire post. I have in my possession a 25% discount voucher and I need your help in deciding which pair will join my shoe collection...

I have perused the Kurt Geiger website extensively, this time indulging in more than just wishful thinking, but with the intention to buy. I have wavered between buying something wonderful that I adore and wear on special occasions or to choose something more sensible that I can wear regularly, time and time again.

I love the colour of these, all to often I go for black or brown boots. I think these would work with skirts or dresses as well as trousers or jeans and you could easily change the look of them by changing the colour of the laces.

These remind me of my Nanna. Very ladylike (love the bow) but with a good sensible heel ;)

First off I spotted these on Forty Not Out's Weekend Links. It was a case of love at first sight... I can tell that this lady, with her regular mentions of shoes on her blog, is going to be bad for my bank balance!

These would be perfect to add to my brogue collection. I love the colour, grey makes up a large portion of my wardrobe (my concession to wearing less black) so these would slot in with ease.





And then there are these.... gorgeous enough to warrant a mention but the colouring is wrong for me, so they didn't make the shortlist.
