Hello!
Tuesday, December 29, 2020How have you been? It's been ages since my last post. An entire month has passed, we've had the winter solstice (hurrah!), and Christmas, and we're heading towards another new year (please let it better than this one!!).
I just thought I'd pop my head above the parapet and say a quick 'hello!' All is well here, if a little busy. Which seems a weird thing to say given that Andy and I have just had our most relaxed Christmas since we met. But life is busy and there are Zoom quizzes to do, nieces and nephews to entertain on FaceTime and walks with relatives to catch up and blow away the cobwebs. Work continues, for both of us, to be busy. And then there's all that cheese that needs eating.
It's been very different but it's been really enjoyable. I don't feel in any way that Christmas was cancelled, it was just, understandably, different.
I hope you enjoyed the festivities, and found moments of joy in this unusual time. I'll be attempting to catch up on my blog reading over the next few days, but fear I may have fallen too far behind to catch up entirely, however I'm very much looking forward to reading about your festive goings on.
Which just leaves me to say Happy New Year!
Take care
xx

Nice to see a post from you. We have over indulged on food and drink and I am feeling very plump! Feeling very hopeful with the news of the latest vaccine. Happy New Year to you.
ReplyDeleteYes, the news of a vaccine is most welcome! It'll take a while but it's the beginning of the end, finally.

It's good to hear from you, Hazel. In these pandemic times, and especially with the new strain of the virus over there, I cannot help but worry about my blogging friends if there is a long silence ... I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your different kind of Christmas this year, and that it was a relaxed one. Christmas wasn't much different for us, as we usually spend it with just the two of us, but we missed seeing Jos's children and grandchildren on Boxing Day. Let's keep our fingers crossed we can do it all again properly next year! Happy New Year to you, Andy and the cats :-) xxx
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to cause any worry, I got very busy with work and Christmas prep that blogging was put on the back burner, but I know what you mean I've been worried about a few of my blogging friends that haven't posted in months.
DeleteI'm writing a post to document how we spent our Covid Christmas (it's getting a bit long!) as it'll be interesting to read in years to come, I think. I'm keeping everything crossed for a 'normal' Christmas next year. Politicians keep saying we'll be back to normal by Easter, but medical experts disagree and say August or September. I know who I trust the most!
Happy New year, I'll be over to your blog to catch up soon!

You did a sterling job on catching up with my posts- it was Comment Christmas over in my email! I'm glad you had a lovely Christmas. I quite enjoyed it too and didn't feel it was cancelled- it was lovely and relaxed!x
ReplyDeleteIt was lovely to catch up.
DeleteIn some ways Christmas still had an element of hectic about it, but it was so nice to spend a decent amount of time with Andy, normally we spend so much time with other people we hardly see each other! I'm glad you enjoyed it xx
Thank you for taking the time to comment x
