Spring Capsule | The Outfits

Thursday, July 19, 2018

My spring outfits were dominated by three things. My red floral skirt, a pair of pink brogues found in a charity shop in April, and a navy bowling bag I discovered in the Pile of Things to be Listed on Ebay (it's safe to say that it won't be returning to the pile).

Looking at these outfits I'm reminded of how gloriously warm spring turned out to be, before summer came along with it's tarmac melting heat. I'm not complaining, I'm not, I'm just a bit hot.

I'm loving my July Capsule. It's probably the best one so far. I love being able to wear all of my favourite summer clothes as much I am, most summers aren't warm enough for this (see not complaining). (But it is a little hot).

    1. It's certainly getting more colourful here. My summer capsule has more pattern and an orange maxi skirt! You'll need sunglasses for that round-up post!

    1. Thank you! I'm wearing things that normally only see the light of day once or twice a year, and I'm loving it (I'm hiding indoors in close proximity to a desk fan to escape the heat!).

  5. What a lovely, colourful line-up! Isn't it exciting to wear stuff that only sees the light of day every year or so? I've even cracked open my Indian suitcase and worn some of my travelling gear (still not as hot as I've been in India...yet)! xxx

    1. So nice to wear things that aren't often worn! I haven't worn jeans or socks in weeks, I'm going to struggle when the heat starts to wane.

  6. You look absolutely lovely in your outfits, Hazel. Being unused to the prolonged heatwave necessitated me buying more stuff as well. Usually my rather meagre summer wardrobe will suffice but I'm not going to complain about having to shop (and I must say, I cheered when it started raining over the weekend!) x

    1. Thank you!
It's nice to have an excuse to shop, I usually shop happily without one. I cheered when it rained too, but not as much as my husband did!
